South Calgary Montessori Childcare Centre (SCMCC), Calgary is based on Montessori philosophy and was established in 2014 with a goal to serve the neighborhoods of Quarry Park, Riverbend, Beltline and other communities in South Calgary. Since then, we have been providing part-time, full-time, and drop-in childcare services to hundreds of parents.

As per Montessori philosophy, we focus on complete childcare and development that includes physical, mental and cognitive skills. Our preschool curriculum is also devised to meet the requirements, focusing on academics as well as cultural and physical activities. This new facility is equipped with a full Montessori-based curriculum and learning tools.

Our Program

South Calgary Montessori and daycare is a licensed childcare Centre for children aged between 2 months to 6 years. We have a 69 children capacity facility. We currently offer full-day daycare programs from 7:00 am – 6:00 pm.

When it comes to daycare nutrition, we provide nutritious breakfast, along with morning and afternoon snacks. Our menu features local and seasonal vegetables along with proteins. We request that parents provide lunch for their children.

Our pre-school and kindergarten kids can learn Spanish and/or French and also Yoga alongside their regular morning and evening Montessori classes.

Our daycare Centre functions year-round except on Government holidays and “December Holiday Season.”

Curriculum

We have a carefully prepared learning curriculum and environment for kids to learn 5 Montessori Curriculum areas- Practical life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language and Culture.

Our Teachers

We have highly trained and experienced teachers - Most of our teachers are level 3 certified with many years of experience.

Communication

We use an award winning child care App called "Himama" to communicate with parents on a daily/weekly basis. Parents can receive daily/weekly reports on their child's progress on any device.

Our Facility

We have very bright, sun lit classrooms with complete Montessori materials tailored for children aged 2 months – 6 year old. We are licenced and accredited to accommodate up to 69 children.

Gala Events

We hold two Gala events (December and June) per year, featuring performances by your children in a theater.

Indoor Gymnasium

We have big indoor gymnasium for kids free play when the weather is not suitable for outdoor play.
